The plot consisted of killing the king becouse James I was protestant and he discriminated against the catholics.
The plotters decided to put barrels of gunpowder under the House of Parliament to blow it up when the King was there.
The inicial plot was to dig to arrive under the Parliament and there put the barrels of gunpowder. But they bought a house next to the Houses of Parliament, and the house had a celler connected with the Parliament, there Guy Fawkes and the other plotters put 36 barrels of gunpowder there.
A member of the Parliament recived an anonymous letter that it was an advertiment of the plot of the catholics conspirators, and he warn the King.
The 5th of November of 1605, the day set for open the Parliament, Guy Fawkes was waiting for the King was placed in his place when a group of guards appeared and arrested him and was taken to the Tower of London, there he was torturated until he had to confess the plot and the other plotters, then they was executed.

The children make an effigy, of a man, with old clothes and newspaper. And they hang  a poster that says ''penny for the guy''
They also buy sparklers and fireworks for the night.
When it's getting dark they invite all their frends and they eat hot dogs, toffee apple, parkin... Then they light the bonfire and they burn the effigy that the children have made.
