Wild styles of hair and make-up is often used to make a statement. Photoshop can sometimes be used in post production. 

This image has been taken from Hailey Baldwin's shoot for L'Official magazine. This is the typical style you would see in a fashion magazine as it has the common features of fashion photography incorporated within it- the gloss of it, and the fact that it is shot in a studio with the white screen/wall in the background. 

One thing that I like about these particular is the two different camera angles, the close up and the long shot. I think giving a range of different shot types in a fashion magazine makes it more appealing to the audience. The reason being is that the main chunk of fashion magazines audience is females and it will keep them more interested with having various shot types/angles of the model. The other aspect I like is the lighting. I think that it is just right- not too bright so it overexposes her, but not not enough to underexpose her. 

However, for me I don't think that the shot type for the image on the left is well done. Personally, I think this needed to be done at a higher angle, maybe with her stood up. Clearly, the second photo is took from a much lower angle, and is much more focused on her face. This example is firstly shot in a studio, this is obvious by the background. I don't particularly like this certain photo. Firstly, I think this would have looked more appealing if the photographer had used the rule of thirds. The buildings are usually aesthetically pleasing. Specialist techniques and equipment are used. 

One of the things that I really like about this particular photo is the use of leading lines. They are used quite differently than other pictures I have seen with leading lines. I think that the spiral lines makes it more appealing. However, one thing that I don't like about this picture is the angel that it is taken from. In my opinion, I think this picture should have been took from the bottom,upwards. It is used to express artistic approaches through photography. Unlike photojournalism, it's aim is to promote creativity and step away from reality, and audience interpretation. 

One thing that I like about this picture is again the leading lines. I think it makes the picture look more appealing, as well as better composed. 
However, I think this picture would have looked better if in post-editing, they brought out the colour of the bridge. The most images that are used in magazines will have been shot in the studio.
