Doing this in week three was risky because we had the easter break coming up the following week and at home I had no access to a DAW. During this week I worked on my track that I came up with ideas for in week five. I also began lyric writing for my first song during this week. The person that i had asked to record a guitar loop asked graham to help her record however, Graham helped her record a guitar loop for the first track, Although the guitar loop fit really well with my first song I did decide to use it for the second track instead. I have started working on my second track but i am a little stuck on what to do with it but hopefully I'll have it figured out by next week.

I was struggling at first because I didn't feel inspired at all but I got through it after i took time to really think about what i wanted to write about. The concept of lyrics i went for is love, for track one I wrote love lyrics in the aspect of being in a relationship. I had a little help from my brother which was great. With help from my tutor (Richard) i recorded vocals for my first track. we used a AKG C414 Condenser mic. I chose a condenser mic as they are really good at capturing detail and i recorded using a Cardioid polar pattern because i wanted the mic to pick up my voice very clearly and crisp without catching too much background noise or echo.
