After a while, Clinton would begin to dip into politics. He would go on to serve as governor  (1979–1981, 1983–1992) and run for the attorney general of Arkansas in 1976. In 1974, he also ran for the House of Representatives.

When he was four years old, his mother married Roger Clinton and in high school, he took the family name.
As a youth, Bill Clinton attended St. John's Catholic Elementary School, Ramble Elementary School, and Hot Springs High School. In school he was a very active student leader and musician. Clinton would go on to graduate from Georgetown University and in 1968 he won a Scholarship to Oxford University, however he received a law degree from Yale University in 1973.
