Puzo's bestseller is the acclaimed novel "THE GODFATHER" (very good, by the way) from which Francis Ford Coppola directed in 1972 an eponymous movie that really is a milestone of cinema. 
What is the Omerta? It is a Sicilian code of honor that forbids reporting on crimes that are considered matters of the personnel involved, according to the world book dictionary.

This in turn provides a new view of the metaphysical sciences, managing to question the ideas between Descartes and Spinoza because mind and matter constitute completely different substances, with attributes so different that they could not even be causally related to each other.
