Aside for my love for writing, dance is another way I love to express myself.
I didn't join any dance teams when I was younger, I was just that girl that could dance to anything and everything where ever I went. It wasn't until I was 19 that I finally got out there and auditioned. I have gotten the opportunity to perform with many dance teams and such incredible venues & events. This was the last team I performed with, Impuls Dance, I truly miss it!

Having a great idea takes an open mind willing to explore above and beyond, determination to follow through, even when unsure. Great ideas aren't just born and happen over night, they take time and patience. Continuing to explore an idea that might come to mind can end up being an amazing one if you stick with it and take the time to understand it better.

1.

The Boston Marathon happened the day before this article was written, on April 15th 2013.

Event took place in Boston, MA. at Prudential Center on Boylston St.

Warraich describes having Chinese food with his wife and some friends that afternoon of April 15th 2013. They were in the middle of eating when a loud noise went off that even made the water in their cups ripple.

He describes being afraid for his wife’s safety, he yelled for her to run and both ran out not knowing exactly what was happening. He was also afraid for his own safety, he describes; ‘I realized that only was I a victim of terror, but I was also a potential suspect.’

Haider Warraich was to make the reader understand the significance of profiling people, especially people that are Pakistanian but are American. The true emotion and fear some feel when tragedies like that occur since a lot of Americans seem to believe they are all "terrorist."

Warraich mentions thinking about his patients that he would be treating, maybe even the next day, and how that would look like; "I've had plenty of experience getting intimately frisked at airports" he mentions. He wonders if the patients would look at him different, or even ask for another doctor?

Warraich is extremely descriptive in his memory of that day. Uses strong verbs like 'intimately frisked at airports' lets us understand how validating it feels to be treated in such a way. Specific details in more than one occasion-
he describes exactly where they were seated that afternoon eating Chinese, and how 'it was a blur of bright colored clothes and shiny sneakers.' Uses analogies such as 'the images of the shooting in Aurora, Colo., Newtown, Con., and Tucson came to mind.' It even makes us, as a reader, flashback to that day and recall what one was doing when the Aurora shooting occurred.

What are you learning about descriptive writing?

I am learning how difficult descriptive writing can be! Once you get a strong sentence in then you roll right off, but finding that strong sentence and how to word it is the part that makes the brain work! I found it difficult to come up with a prompt to write about also, it must be something that you can truly remember bringing so much emotion to you in order to be able to describe as much detail as possible.

This is an article from EssayJack with tips on how to organize your descriptive essay with sentence structure and explains how to use sensory details.
Origin Story #1; My first day as a Medical Assistant

August 19th, 2015....the day my career started as a Medical Assistant.

I had just turned 25, August 4th, and had moved back home to Avon, CO after living in Denver for the past almost four years, going back home felt bitter sweet. In a way, I felt embarrassment, guilt and like I was taking a step back in life. You know when in Monopoly you get sent back to "GO" when you draw a card from the center, and don't collect the $25? You start all over, that's how it felt; I was back to what we call, The Valley, to start this new chapter in life. With $67 to my name, back to my mother's house I went, only this time with a little two year old mini me. I had no choice but to accept it and make the best of it. It may not have been what I wanted, but it was what we needed in that moment in time. A fresh start.

"Can you start the 19th, it's a Wednesday?" Jill, the office manager interviewing me said eagerly. All I could think in that moment was, "What? Is she serious?!" I had originally came in to ask for an application and as if they were hiring, next thing I knew I sent to through this brown door on the left side of the front desk check in, and told to go straight back and up the stairs for an interview! I was wearing a jean skirt, with flip flops and a summer top, it was mid August, so I most definitely was not prepared for an interview on the spot! I was ecstatic! Full of butterflies in my stomach, felt like I was about to throw up, and to make matters worse-I had no idea what I was going to say. I did not care though because this was meant to be and I knew in my heart I deserved this!

After searching for a medical assisting job for three years, almost giving up, I finally got my foot inside the medical field setting-I was officially a Medical Assistant at Doctor's on Call in Avon, CO. The the doctor I was working for now, Dr. Kovacevich, was my doctor since I was in kindergarten. I remember my mom bringing me to this clinic as a little girl. and now I was working for this amazing doctor! My first day approached, Wednesday, August 19th.
Fresh, new, black and colorful Tweety scrub top with lime green pants, and my black chucks. I was ready!

If I wouldn't of left, would I have found my first medical assistant position? Or would I have given up on my medical dreams?
