He landed at Mumbai port. A warm welcome was awaited for his arrival and he was treated as a Hero there. People there loved him. Gandhi was an Indian lawyer, nti-colonial nationalist, and political ethicist, who employed nonviolent resistance. He lead the successful campaign for India's independence from British Rule.
