 To answer all of your questions Christopher Columbus did not discover America.In fact he thinks he was the first one to come to America but he wasn't. The vikings were the first people to live in America.

 In my opinion we should not celebrate Columbus Day. He did all these bad things to America and made it worse.Some people think that its okay for Columbus to do what he did. But why? Why should we celebrate Columbus day? He has made people back then believe that he was a good person but if you do some research on Columbus he did some terrible things.

Another thing is that he enslaved people. The word has it that he enslaved the Taino people because he saw them on a island. If we were to live on a island when Christopher was alive don't you think that would mean that we would have been an enslaved person.
