The present day Amer Fort was built on the remains of the earlier structure, during the reign of Raja Man Singh. It was further expanded by Jai Singh 1, who was his descendant. Later years Amer Fort went through some more improvements and additions by their successors, until the Kachwahas shifted their capital to Jaipur, during the rule of Sawai Jai Singh 11, in 1727.</p>]]></description>
