In Chinese, the character '女' is very commonly used as a radical, for example, the character '她' contains the radical '女', which means 'she', while the character '男' is not used as a radical at all, which means 'he', the radical of 'he' is '亻', and the meaning of this radical is to refer to human beings in general, so the meaning is that the male is the first sex in the society, and gender inequality has already appeared in this case, which is a very typical and widely used character in life.

Even more so, for example, the characters I am researching now, with the radical '女' female, such as: 婊(whore), 奴(slave), 嫉(cynicism), 妒(jealousy), 娱(amusement), 耍(play), 妓(prostitute), 娼(whore) and more. The meanings of these words are all very bad, and many of them are swear words used to abuse women and are insulting to women. But the most unequal manifestation of this is the expression of the meaning of the word for the neutral, no clear gender pointing words, the use of the radicals is indeed 'female' radicals. For example, when we say '娱' meaning entertainment, a word with no gender reference, but the Chinese character '娱' uses '女' as a radical, it means that women are treated as entertainment, and entertainment is carried out and occurs on the basis of women, and women are the objects of entertainment. There are so many such expressions and applications in Chinese that even in the words and phrases for cursing people, the character '女' is used as the radical, so now when we use abusive words for men, we use words that are meant to be used specifically for abusing women, and we can't find them, and there are no words or phrases in Chinese that insult men at all. This is a very ridiculous and extremely unfair phenomenon, and I think it is a very good illustration of the unfair treatment of women in society.

So based on my research and thinking, I experimented with embossing printing techniques to emphasise it, to make it focused, to visually accentuate and emphasise it, also including the colours I chose which are red and black on top of it, but not cover all around, what I wanted to express is that these patriarchal attitudes engraved in the bones of the Chinese people, the inequality of women, and the use of them in women's names, so that the girl lives in an environment where she is not needed and not valued, is a permanent stigma. I would say this is not history, this should not be forgotten, this is pain, bleeding pain, they are used and real, and only when it is looked at straight on, the ugliness and the dross is seen and valued by society can it truly be addressed.
