They also helped me look at colleges I would want to attend because I could research what colleges have good programs for careers I'm interested in.

This discussion helped me learn what Professionalism is and how to do certain things to succeed like dressing right, business etiquette, and videos that we reflected on. The videos helped by giving tips on how to have proper manners like not interrupting or how to ask for someone's name without putting them off by apologizing.

I thought that chapter 6 was especially helpful because as a high school student I will need to create and submit my own portfolio. Chapter 6 had many useful tips and methods to make a good portfolio. One thing that stuck out to me was the portfolio pyramid on page 125. It lists off the order of materials within the portfolio. First you'd include job specific skills, then employer specific skills, and lastly industry specific skills. This ensures that the things that are most relevant to the job are included first and foremost in your portfolio presentation. After getting the most important things out of the way, you'd show off the skills relevant to the industry as a whole.

Chapter 4 helped me reflect on my past presentations which benefited me because the chapter gave me tips on how to improve on my communication skills. this particular skill set is very important when applying for a job because employers require good communication skills for success.

All of these chapters were very important and the one that mostly helped me a lot was Chapter 4 which talked about using your time wisely and the importance of managing yourself and your wealth. For the Career Research, this assignment was very useful because I can see what career is best for me and what are the requirements required to become successful.

The assignment was beneficial for understanding our careers, and exploring deeper and deeper about it, by knowing how people do those jobs, what wages they earn, and how much preparation and education we would need to take that position. Using this information I can create my path to success by picking the college/university that I need to go to, where do I need to live for a lot of job opportunities, and plan my future overall.

After researching multiple different careers in Assignment 3, I learned that I don't think that I should modify my own career goals, I think I should just adjust them to my current or future needs. Modifying my career goals would mean leaving some things behind that I wouldn't want to leave behind, especially since I know they would benefit me in the future.

I feel like the 3rd Assignment which was occupation/career research was very helpful for finding a job. In this assignment, not only were a lot of jobs listed, but it also showed the tasks, skills, and earnings that are required for the different careers. Also, this assignment even had people talk about the career you're researching to get more information.

Listening to each person talk about their perspectives compelled me to consider the different things that would or would not interest me in the career. Reflecting on the videos afterward helped me to put my thoughts into words and think more in-depth about my career.

Assignment 3 helped me visualize and identify my possible career paths and future career goals. Furthermore, the assignment made me aware of the qualifications, skills, and knowledge required to pursue my future career in aerospace Engineering. The Candid Career videos were able to shed some light on the difference between age groups in different careers. For example, in some of the videos, the interviewees were old and some were very young, yet they all seem just as professional and capable of doing their job. This told me that it doesn't matter your age, and professionally presenting yourself is dependent on yourself. This assignment also helped me further improve my budget assignment, by simulating how I would manage my expenses while being dependent on an Aerospace Engineer's salary. Overall, this assignment just makes me more excited and motivates me to still work towards becoming an Aerospace Engineer.
