My colleagues are very laid back, so if I want to do a physical activity with the children I ask before I do to make sure there’s nothing else planned, lately one of my colleagues and I have been messaging back and forth in the evenings trying to plan something.

sometimes I would have crafts ready for the upcoming days , but if the caregivers like to make they’re own ideas we usually set up a meeting to demonstrate on how to make the crafts or any physical learning … sometimes we message each other about any activities or crafts for the children ..

Working as a team.

Making sure one colleague can fill out their daily plan for the day, print crafts and/or worksheets, one can gather all craft supplies, paper, glue, construction paper, ect. The next day another colleague person takes over and plan for the day, taking turns.

I would plan arts and crafts or worksheets for following day or I would ask the ladies if would like to share ideas.

Also would have a daily planner lay down for the ladies to follow.

Being a caregiver on the infants area, we teach them movement through nursery rhyme songs. This helps them start off the day with dancing/singing.

Movement for the toddlers and infants is very important it gets their body moving and they’re being physically active and learning new things its great to have them doing some sort of movement gets the blood flowing and gives them physical skills

what makes it easy planning physical activities is team work. Working together as a team manages to get things done and being on the same page. Also if a colleague wasn’t there to help plan, it would be helpful to have a sheet or day planner of the activities listed.
