Loyalists

During the 1750’s and 1760’s tensions grew between Great Britain and the colonies.King george the III imposed many taxes upon the colonists in order to pay for the war. Those taxes included the stamp act, the boston tea act and the intolerable act.Colonists started to become angry with King George III, and the taxes that were imposed. Because of this some people decided to become patriots. Patriots wanted independence from Great Britain. The other group of colonists  were loyalists. Loyalists wanted to stay loyal to King george III. 

I agree with the loyalists. Here are my reasons. First of all, it would be chaos without someone to keep things together. For instance, what if your school teacher left for the day and you had no supervision. What do you think would happen? Everyone would mess around and go crazy; that's what would happen without a king. Also why would we let uneducated, people (that know little), rule Great Britain?  And why would you choose to be” independent” when you are in danger of starting a war with Great Britain? Instead you can be perfectly safe with us and have good life. Colonies would be weak and they would fall apart without Britain. We need Britain to hold things together. Give me liberty or give me death?! If you want liberty join the loyalists. If you want death (metaphorically and literally) join the patriots. And those are some of the reasons I agree with the loyalists.
