Technology progress can have us brainwashed and have us think that other things like going out on walks aren't normal, however I don't think that the change in the book is realistic but it could happen in a less drastic way, things such as phones and everything else have us disconected from the world

In the text technological progress impacted the way people interact with each other because nobody goes outside anymore in the text. In the article, everyone stays inside and watches their viewing screens whether its TV's, Phones, Tablets, or even future devices we don't have yet. I believe it is realistic, but it exaggerates a little. I believe phones have impacted human interactions because nowadays people can and some will just text people who are right next to them instead of talking to them. Most people are so occupied by their phones, they don't really interact with anyone in person anymore.

The small story; "The Pedestrian" is just a man taking a calm walk to learn his head late at night but is this really what's happening? When reading you start noticing small but important details like it's 2053, the world is now based around technology and it's all we know. So everyone isolates themselves, not knowing how to be social and verbally speak to people since all we will know is just our screen in our hands.

In the text, it's described that almost every single house has something like a screen or device inside. For example, the light from the device coming out the windows or the laughter on a television. It has affected their society because everyone is inside and occupied with some form of technology. This technological change is actually pretty realistic, as we use devices for almost everything. That even includes this assignment which we are writing on our Chromebooks. A lot of other things have impacted us as a society technology wise. We usually communicate by texting, emails, or social media and we almost can't do anything without it. Technology is in our everyday lives and we don't really pay attention because of how normal it is but it definitely affects us.

The way people communicate now is through phones, It seems like now everyone is aways staring at screens. I do not think the change is realistic, Some examples of how technology has impacted human interaction is because when I was a little kid I used always be outside with friends and family finding new things to do without phones but now everything evolves around phones and I barely see those cousins and when I do they're on their phones.

What are some other examples of how technology has impacted human interaction? Why or why not

I think with our COVID years, we relied on technology more to interact with others because we weren't allowed to do that in person and were forced to stay home. Technological improvements and more apps coming out like snapchat and tiktok allows us to be able to have the freedom; to communicate with people without human interaction. Furthermore, I think these advancements it has brought us back in years. And towards the end of covid and people transitioned to being around other people more, we lost that interaction because when you're online a person is basically talking to a screen.
