Commonality, diversity and interconnection are factors that connect and strengthen a community. West Island is a very diverse school as it has several different cultures and background. Commonality is found in our community, every student at WIS is a part of a dynasty, this dynasty is shared with other individuals. All students at WIS are interconnected through CAS as there are several age groups included in these activities, connecting different parts of our school.

In this world, there are more similarities between each other than you think there are. In our home, Hong Kong, we have people from countries like America, India, Australia and so on. We may have something that makes us happy, or something that makes us feel despair/discomfort due to past trauma. As you progress further in life, you may find new friends and "throw away" your old friends. You find people who have the same interests as you and you start to create a bond between you and that person. A relationship may also slowly get worse due to disagreements.
