Women, no matter their cultural background, often find themselves in a world where the patriarchy and societal expectations can lead to victimization. Woman’s Trauma stems from their experience within their culture that is expressed in many ways. From domestic violence and sexual assault to discrimination, and oppression, women worldwide face challenges that can cause them psychological, and emotional damage. By understanding the different forms of victimization, that women face we can gain a deeper understanding of the impact of the patriarchy. We as people can work towards creating a more welcoming society for all women.
