The first why globalization has affected me is the cutting of costs on certain products. Companies can manufacture and gain parts from more regions and the savings for them is passed on to me, the consumer. Another way I have been affected is what things I have access to, be it products or services. With lower tariffs and trade agreements, things that were once region locked are now offered on a more global scale. Globalization has, however, caused a rise in pollution. This is mainly facilitated by the increased transportation used to supply to a global market. While this will affect me in the long run, I have already seen some of the environmental effects while talking to friends on the west coast. An example is the fires they have to deal with that have become more frequent with the advancement of global warming. - James Stone

As a mechanic globalization has positively impacted our operation by allowing us to work on more customers cars by lowering the cost of the parts. In turn more business for us leads to more money in the end. we also race so globalization also opens up international trade for oil and natural gas. which in turn allows us to race more competitively. the advantages to globalization are allowing international trade to different countries in order for them to work together. The disadvantage to globalization is the high increase in competition. with more competition we have to work harder in order to achieve more money.

Globalization is is basically defined as an increase in the flow of goods, services and capital. Globalization has some advantages and disadvantages. One of the advantages is that it allows a larger labor pool. Another advantage is that it leads to economic growth. A disadvantage is that it might lead to increased competition. Another disadvantage is environmental concerns. Technology also plays a big part in globalization. The reason for this is because it allows everyone across the world to communicate and respond and get ideas from one another.

Globalization has impacted me by saving me money on many things. Thanks to globalization we get a lot of services and products from countries that do not charge as much as America would charge for the same products and services. The advantages of globalization are to many to list but the big ones in my opinion are spreading technology and higher standard of living across the world. Technology can spread so fast now that an innovation can be implemented on another continent in a matter of days. Disadvantages of globalization is foreign workers are often exploited for their willingness to work cheaper which also leads to local job loss.

As a person who is 52 years old, I have seen so many changes in globalization in my lifetime. The biggest one that affects me directly, would be the leaps and bounds in technology. My brother was in the Air Force and has lived in Japan for about 15 years now. When he first was stationed there we had to pay a fortune to text or speak to him on the phone. the progression of technology has now allowed us to video chat or talk to him whenever we want, free of charge. In my business life and career it allows the company I work for, to purchase raw materials from international companies. By doing so they cut costs which benefits me in my salary and the benefits that the company provides to its employees.

Globalization is a process of interaction and integration among the people, companies and governments of different nations, a process driven by international trade and investment aided by information and technology from one boarder to another.

Globalization leads to advancement in technology which leads to unemployment of human manforce because machines take over mans jobs. (For example, I plan to get into real estate and have been discouraged of it because of the fear of online house tours taking over.) Integration in terms of trade leads to passage of information both positively and negatively between cultures leading to dilution of ones cultural belief, thus adopting a new cultural belief.

Globalization also affects countries positively and negatively.

Globalization has impacted me because during the pandemic when Covid-19 came my job laid at PNC Financial Services Group Inc laid us off. It became a difficult year to try and find a job. Many of us lost our jobs and saw our incomes cut. Unemployment rates increased but when filing for unemployment it only lasts but for so long. Globalization also impacted me because I used to love to take trips with my family and my kids but when the pandemic hit us the travel industry was badly damaged, with airlines cutting flights and customers cancelling business trips and holidays. The pandemic affected the entire food system and has laid bare its fragility. Border closures, trade restrictions, and confinement measures have been preventing farmers from accessing markets, including for buying inputs and selling their produce, and agricultural workers from harvesting crops, thus disrupting domestic and international food supply chains and reducing access to healthy, safe and diverse diets. The pandemic decimated jobs and placed millions of livelihoods at risk. During the chaos, while many of us were in a panic, it showed us the weight of humanity. It reminded us of who we are. Maybe the world will finally change. I am aware of everything that has been taken away during this situation, of all the unrealized plans, birthdays, travels, weddings, and sadly, we cannot do anything about it, but we are not powerless. If each of us respect the measures imposed by authorities, the situation will get better, and it will pass much faster than expected. The advantage of globalization is that globalization can create new opportunities, new ideas, new open markets, etc. It creates greater opportunities for firms in less industrialized countries to tap into more and larger markets around the world. This can lead to more access to capital flows, technology, human capital, cheaper imports, and larger export markets. It allows business in less industrialized countries to become part of international production networks and supply chains that are the main conduits of trade. The disadvantage of globalization is that globalization is a complex phenomenon. It has a considerable influence on several areas of contemporary societies. The consequences of globalization are far from homogeneous: income inequalities, disproportional wealth and trades that benefit parties differently. In the end, one of the criticisms is that some actors benefit more from the phenomena of globalization, while others are sometimes perceived as the "losers" of globalization. Globalization affects all sectors of activity to a greater or lesser extent. By doing so, its gap with issues that have to do with sustainable development and corporate social responsibility is short.

Globalization impacts us by enabling us to buy cheaper consumer goods. It also creates more U.S. jobs. Some advantages of globalization include alteration of technology, improvement of infrastructure, and affordable commodities. Disadvantages of globalization include rising inequality, growing unemployment rates, and environmental harm. Another serious impact of globalization is fluctuation in prices! We have been experiencing this for some time now. Especially with gas prices, it has skyrocketed.

Let’s start off with what globalization is. Globalization is usually the increase in flow of goods and services as well as people and ideas. While the government focuses on removing the national barriers for trade the yare also working on protecting the local economies.

For me Globalization has helped me save money on many things, especially online. I’ve recently been obsessed with online shopping since it is normally cheaper than going out now. In fact, I sell things online instead of just throwing them away. Another mans trash is another mans treasure of course.
I have an Etsy account where I can sell old clothes or things that I’ve had in my attic after making sure they’re still functional, which is a form of globalization. I just ship it away after weighing the object. Of course, it’s not all that simple but I think you get the Idea.

I’m going to now break down the advantages and disadvantages of globalization. The advantages of globalization are hard to ignore since they are in everyone’s life no matter what you do, and they make goods and services available to more people for lower prices. Small and large business owners also have great access and benefit to bigger markets for goods and services.
That’s not all, since these business owners have access to goods outside of their country, so do people that are in poverty, and so it can help people be lifted out of poverty. It creates more jobs for people and eliminates controversial opinions such as quantity and quality.

The disadvantages or drawbacks to globalization are a little depressing though. Workers can lose their jobs to the countries with lower costing labor. When the U.S. completes with less developed countries, it has an overwhelming advantage with access to capital. Globalization also hasn’t protected labor, especially human rights labor.
While globalization had the advantage to spread values, the spread can be slow. Rather than exporting the labor protections that companies must follow, it follows lower standards where labor cannot be protected.

Globalization is mostly looked at as just goods and services. However globalization can also be referred to as the moving of people. In this case globalization has impacted my life in every aspect. I am the daughter to immigrants on both sides, and my boyfriend is an immigrant. Without globalization and having more access to other parts of the world I would not have some of the people that I care about, nor would I have been born the person I am today.
This leads into the pros and cons of Globalization. One would be the development of technology has enhanced communication world-wide. and being able to see the opportunities in other nations However this can also be taken negatively, this makes employers expect longer work days, being accessible all the time, and having to adhere to international time changes for meetings.
Globalization, despite regulations in place can also encourage unpaid labor or actions that would be considered illegal in their host countries, but not restricted in foreign countries. Which encourages companies to build overseas to not have as many regulations on them.
