A good example is the damage caused on fences due to oxidation. The oxidation chemical process has made physical changes in my fence (see pictures below). You can see my car on the background for scale reference. For this picture, I used my cat as reference (no, my cat and my dog do not fight; the cat is safe). An example I could find in my backyard was the hole where my water meter is at. In the close-up picture, we can appreciate how the walls of the concrete hole has an irregular terrain, which shows evidence of parts of the concrete falling off the wall and the top.
