Currently, I’m focusing on examining the role of adaptive game-based learning environments in this process. As a researcher focused on motivational outcomes (e.g., situational interest), I see learning objectives more widely than just improving learning outcomes. Thus, to me, one of the most exciting aspects of game-based learning is the possibility that learning games can be utilized to foster interest development and motivational factors related to self-concept (e.g., self-efficacy; academic self-concept), that can substantially affect general learning outcomes and school-related factors (e.g., school liking) also outside the games.

Hello, I work with #Entrepreneurship Education, #Gamification, #OpenInnovation as topics. The most important of them all for me is gamification as it is cross-cutting in all that I do. I am a big believer in Game Based Learning but also to allow for complexity scaling and tackling complex tasks/learning via games. I am also an advocate for Citizen Science Games in solving problems for society in general. My approach to Entrepreneurship is also impact and mission-driven and thus games become a vehicle to achieve this as well. I do teach, advocacy, and admin and some research when time permits :)

Twitter: @rajivvb

LinkedIN: www.linkedin.com/in/rvbasaiawmoit

Use my E-mail: rvb@au.dk to connect with me on LI or directly

Dr. Christian Stein studied German language and literature and computer science, earned a doctorate in literary studies and has since been working in the border area between the humanities and technical sciences. He is employed at the Cluster of Excellence Matters of Activity and heads the Object Space Agency project. In the Cluster of Excellence Image Knowledge Design, which was completed in 2019, he served as head of the research area Architectures of Knowledge with six research projects and is co-founder of gamelab.berlin, which deals with play as a cultural technique. In this context he has focused on the development of game prototypes in the field of museums and medicine. This includes the development of innovative museum games (e.g. game+ultra and Mein Objekt in Humboldt Forum ) and VR applications (e.g. Neurosurgery 360 and Kenya VR). In addition to his focus on games, he works on artificial and natural languages (semantic web and modeling) as well as an interdisciplinary theory of the interface, on which he is currently completing his habilitation project.
