         <description><![CDATA[<p>Juan Sebastián Elcano was a Spanish navigator, ship-owner and explorer of Basque origin, ship-owner and explorer from Getaria, part of the Crown of Castile when he was born, best known for having completed the first circumnavigation of the Earth in the Spanish ship Victoria on the Magellan expedition to the Spice Islands. He received recognition for his achievement by Charles I of Spain with a coat of arms bearing a globe and the Latin motto Primus circumdedisti me. Despite his achievements, information on Elcano is scarce and he is the subject of great historiographical controversy, because of the scarcity of original sources which illuminate his private life and personality.</p><p><strong>Miguel</strong></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>A Venetian merchant and adventurer, Marco Polo travelled along the Silk Road from Europe to Asia between 1271 and 1295.</p><p>Originally invited to the court of Kublai Khan (1215-1294) with his father and uncle, he remained in China for 17 years where the Mongol ruler sent him on fact-finding missions to distant parts of the empire.Upon his return to Venice, Polo was imprisoned in Genoa alongside the writer Rustichello da Pisa. The result of their encounter was<em> Il milione</em> (“The Million”) or ‘The Travels of Marco Polo’, which described his voyage to and experiences in Asia.</p>]]></description>

He has also discovered the narrow passage Strait of Magellan, and a waterway that gives ships to travel from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean. He was the first European to cross the Pacific Ocean. He was born on February 4, 1480, and died on April 27, 1521 at age 41. There were also sailors that didn't trust Ferdinand Magellan because they were Spanish and he was Portuguese.  </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Hernando de soto was one of a Spanish explorer and conquistador who was involved in expeditions in Nicaragua and the Yucatan Peninsula. Hernando De Soto was born around the late 1490s or early 1500s in Extremadura, Spain, to parents who were both Hidalgos. Hernando de soto was also born on 27 October. His birthplace is most likely Jere de Los Caballeros. De soto became a regidor of Leon, Nicaragua. he had died because of a fever on 21 May 1542, in the native village of Guachoya.
