Las cenizas y escorias que quedan luego de la combustión carecen de flogisto, y , por consiguiente, son incapaces de volver a arder.</div>]]></description>

Lavoisier rápidamente comprendió que el gas que&nbsp; Priestley había descubierto era la parte del aire que se transfería en las combustiones. Bautizó al nuevo&nbsp; gas como Oxígeno (nombre derivado del griego, que signiﬁca productor de ácidos) por cuanto creía que&nbsp; el oxígeno era un componente necesario de todos los ácidos.</div>]]></description>
