Examples of being emotionally intelligent would be a coach knowing they have big game coming up, and that their athletes may be nervous or scared, would talk about courage or believing in yourself to help his team overcome the feelings they may have. Or an office manager sensing frustration and anger around the office, giving everybody Friday off to relax and regroup after a long week.
