A mentor is someone who would share information, experience or knowledge about his or her own educational and career journey. A mentor would provide guidance, motivation, support to a mentee. 
2. What would your personal benefits be, from being a mentee?
Benefits from being a mentee would include gaining knowledge and advice from mentor as well as being supported and encouraged through a certain journey. The experiences and information of a mentor would help a mentee learn from their first-hand experience, hence would contributes more to enhancing own's confidence, willingness to learn and empowered their decision. A mentee would look up to their mentor to move towards their goal.
3. “What’s your plan?”  Make a timeline of your professional journey over the next 5‐10 years.  What do you want to accomplish in 2, 5, 7, 10 years? How would a mentor assist you with your development?

2 years- Fresh out of university I expect myself to get a starting position in low level position due to lack of experience but I would try to aim for assistant GM

5 years- Depending on how I do in the company, if i get promoted according to performance and see myself moving up the ranks I would try to become a department head .

7 years- I see myself being moved up to GM. If i am not at this point i would start my own hotel group.

10 years- Either I am the GM, or i Have started my own hotel bussiness that I aim to make profitable.

This leadership style works if the subordinates have work that doesn't require any back and forth communication as there was no need for any.

One of my colleagues had a fight with the manager. I didn't understand and wasn't told about the situation at the time.She ended up crying and was consoled by another waiter. The manager came back after a while and spoke to her in private. She returned to work soon and the situation was resolved. It turned out she didn't have the wines prepared which delayed a busy service.

There are a multitude of ways my manager motivated me during my previous internship. Since it was an internship, I was not in it for the money but rather for the experience.
