At the beginning of the year, I felt excited for what was to come the new classes, the chance to meet new people, and the opportunity to grow. I was ready to take on new challenges and see how much I could achieve. Now, as the year ends and I’m getting ready to go into 11th grade, I feel more confident and experienced. I’ve learned a lot, not just in school but about myself how to manage my time better, stay focused, and push through challenges. I’m proud of how far I’ve come, and even though I’m ready for a break, I’m also looking forward to what’s next.

One project I’m especially proud of was the business project I did for my financial literacy class. I was really excited about it because it gave me a chance to be creative and think like an entrepreneur. I got to come up with a business idea, plan out the details like costs, marketing, and profits, and then present it to the class. I put a lot of effort into making it realistic and well-organized, and I enjoyed learning how real-world businesses work. It made me feel confident in my ideas and showed me that I might want to explore more about business in the future.

Write a brief review of a book or text you read this year that impacted you.

story I read this year that really impacted me was Lord of the Flies by William Golding. I liked it because it showed how quickly things can fall apart when there are no rules or structure. The way the boys went from being organized to completely out of control made me think about human nature and how important leadership and cooperation are. It was interesting and kind of scary to see how easily fear and power can change people. This story stuck with me because it made me see how thin the line can be between order and chaos.

Reflect on a personal or academic challenge.

One challenge I faced this year was learning how to manage my time better, especially when I had a lot of assignments due at once. There were times when I felt overwhelmed trying to keep up with schoolwork, studying, and other responsibilities. At first, I struggled to stay organized, but over time I started using a planner and breaking big tasks into smaller steps. It wasn’t easy, but I learned how to stay focused and not give up when things got stressful. This challenge helped me become more responsible and better prepared for what’s ahead.

Share a poem, short story, song, or artwork you created OR one that inspired you this year.

One piece that inspired me this year was the song Hall of Fame by The Script. The lyrics really motivated me, especially the part about being able to be anything you want if you work hard and believe in yourself. Whenever I felt stressed or doubted myself, listening to that song reminded me to keep pushing forward and not give up on my goals. It made me feel like I could overcome challenges and do something meaningful, which was a big source of encouragement throughout the year.

Reflect on your hopes for junior year and beyond.

As I get ready for junior year, I hope to keep growing both academically and personally. I know 11th grade will be challenging, but I want to stay focused, improve my study habits, and push myself to do my best. I also hope to get more involved in school activities or explore new interests that can help me figure out what I want to do in the future. Looking beyond high school, I want to be prepared for college or whatever path I choose, and I hope to keep building confidence in myself along the way.
