In the age of 15, he became the leader of Tibet, but wasnt able to enjoy it due to the threat called communist China, which was able to unify pretty much all of china, and began Pressureing Tibet. 1 year later, he and his staff fled from the capital, which was called Lhasa to a small bordertown close to the Indian border. He returned 1 month later, in may of 1951 to the capital to talk about peace negotiations due to the chinese invading the east of Tibet. He was able to keep his religious power, but wasnt controlling the country anymore. It became an autonomous Province of China. Later, he said he did it only to "safe the country of total destruction."
