Well regarded for their mask utilization in various ceremonies throughout the year, they continue traditional ceremonies. It is believed that this mask would be used in a male coming of age ceremony taking place in the summer. The eagle may have served as the spirit guardian which sticks with the young boy from the beginning of puberty.
