         <description><![CDATA[<p>(Shakers) -krisy</p><p><br/></p><p>How I would explain to the babies </p><p>This is a shaker I will use it and were going to sing a song with it, by shaking it and start singing, if the toddler or infant wants to try, I will allow them to learn.. I will play and sing along with this handmade instrument during freeplay or circle time and let them try it out while they sing a song.          <description><![CDATA[<p>Here is a photo of my instrument.</p><p>I would bring it to the infant side and start shaking it to get their attention. Repeat what it’s called so that they have an idea of what it is. </p><p>I would sing the song “where is Eva? Where is Eva? There she is, there she is. What is Eva doing? What is Eva doing?” Something like that. The infant room is closet to the kitchen so they see what our custodian is doing at most times. </p><p>-Hillary</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>I would introduce the shaker to infants by taking it out and showing them what happens when I shake it. I would shake the maracas while singing the song “if you’re happy and you know it”.          <description><![CDATA[<p>Xylophone Music </p><p>To introduce the xylophone to babies, I would start by tapping a few notes to get their attention and get them to recognize the sound by saying “ai! Listen, tap tap tap!” Then show them what I’m doing, ask them to do it after me and help them with the xylophone, also encouraging them with telling them they made music. For the song I would use “twinkle twinkle little star” because it’s simple and calming. Humming the song while the babies try to tap along in their own way, this helps them explore sound and enjoy music play. </p><p><br></p><p>-Angel A.</p>]]></description>
