I am currently reading Frozen Charlotte by Alex Bell. I am on page 139 in the book. In the book right now Sophie (the main character) is at her uncles house. She was just in one of her cousins room looking at her cousins haunted dolls. The night before she swore she heard them whispering, but nobody believes her.

While I was reading I was thinking maybe the dolls will get out of their case some how. I was also thinking if they get out of their case maybe their other cousins will believe her. I also noticed that the oldest cousin is really over protective for his sister, which I think is kinda strange because he doesn’t seem to care that much. While I was reading I discovered that the second oldest daughter came back in the middle of the night with a some boy and they talked about her having a boyfriend but Sophie thought they broke up. I don’t know if it was just her friend, but I am really excited to read more and figure out what happens next!

I am currently reading Prisoner B-3087 by Alan Gratz. I am on page 14 in the book. Right now in the book the main character Yanek Gruener is facing very hard times, the Nazis are invading his home town Krakòw. The Nazis are now destroying street by street and the Gruener family is getting worried. The school closed the store closed and now the uncle is very worried that their family shoe business is going to be closed very soon because they are Jews. Yanek’s father and mother are not as worried as their uncle. Yanek’s father says the Nazis can take away everything we have but they can’t take away who we are.

I predict that their family is soon going to be separated and Yanek will very much miss his family. I made a connection, I read Number the stars by Lois Lowry and it is also about World War Two. It’s about this girl who Is Jewish and her parents get separated from her and her best friend’s family Is taking care of her. I think it connects because they both were going to World War Two and facing hard times, but the difference is Yanek is taking care of himself well the girl is taking care of her friend and she’s not Jewish either, and Yanek is Jewish. Those are all of my predictions and connections, and I cant wait to figure out and right about what happens next.

I am currently reading Dork diaries by Rachel Renée Russell, I am on page 147. Right now in the book I am at the part where Nikki (the main character) is going to school after she just missed the last day from fakeing a sickness. She decided to be fake sick because she had this huge rash on her ear and she didn’t want her crush to see it and that her mom probably wouldn’t let her stay home beacause of her tiny rash. Also in the book she is trying to help her and her friends figure out how are they are going to be able to be picked to go to a meet and greet with authors for  National Liabrary week, but only six LSAs are going to be picked. They want to do something special so their teacher will notice them and pick them to go on the trip.


I am predicting that maybe her friends will get picked to go on the trip but her teacher will not pick her. I was wondering well I was reading what a LSAs are but all I know is that her and her friends are LSAs. I was also thinking maybe the mean girl in her class will be picked to go on the trip instead of her but I don’t know if Mackenzie (the mean girl) is a LSA. I made a connection, my sister usually ever year goes into a choir contest and only three with get picked she and ever year she gets picked to go, it’s kinda like Nikki and her friends, hopefully they get picked. I am also predicting that her crush will go and so will Nikki and she’ll get to hang out with him more and Mackenzie will be jealous. That is what I read so far and I can’t wait to book blog about the book some more!

I am currently reading Fever 1793 by Laurie Halse Anderson, I am on page 8. Right now in the book Matilda, the main character is going down stairs to the kitchen to eat breakfast. Eliza the coffee house cook gave Matilda a sack of coffee beans to eat. Matilda is talking about everyone that live in the coffee house, including the mother, grandfather, Eliza, and sometimes Polly who is the tardy serving girl. The mother is complaining about how lazy Matilda is and I how she just slept the day away.


Since the book is called fever I wonder when the fever will actually breakout and if the Cooks will survive. I was thinking since Eliza is a person of color and there are still slaves I wonder if she will be taken away. I was thinking that maybe Polly is somewhere else because that don’t talk about her that much. I wonder when the coffee shop will open and if Matilda has a job there, I’m assuming she does. I also made a connection because I always sleep really late and my mom is always telling me to get up. That is all I read so far, but I can’t wait to read and book blog more about the book!
