In Romania there are 6 centres/shelters  for  receiving refugees, in cities like : Bucharest – 470 places, Giurgiu - 200 places, Şomcuta (Maramureş County) - 250 places, Galaţi - 300 places, Rădăuţi-180 places, Timişoara -250places. 
According to statistics, our country has not been affected by the massive influx as in others countries of Western Europe.
Most foreigners  come from countries like Afganistan, China, Moldova, Georgia, Nigeria,  Yemen, Syria, Somalia, Irak. Iran and the United States. Most of them are planning to stay and also some of them have plans to move on to another country in Europe because they have family or relatives they are trying to reach but also to fiind a better job.
Maramures is a wonderful area situated in north west of the country. Refugees are people fleeing wars or persecution.
