I have talked to the child's mummy upon checking in (face-face communication) on Monday and mommy was glad to hear on positive changes that her daughter has shown. She managed to witness herself by peeping at the corner of the window before leaving for work.

I already spoke with both parents and grandma regarding child's well-being at home and update parents with list of food to consume to relieve constipation and also encouraged her parents to introduce nutritious fruits and vegetables to their child.

I have talk to the child parents who I feared talking to. I brave myself to take the child during arrival and dismissal. I talk about how their child were in school and I also update them about the child last routine time. It was scary at first as I sweat alot, but seeing how friendly the parents was, it calms down my panic self..

I have reminded the teachers and myself at bay 4 to relay messages about the children to parents using the notice board at the entrance door.

Good initiative, neat writing by the teachers is appreciated. Maybe we can remind them of that.

This is a new parent who asked for help with regards to reading of term 4 newsletter and updates.
We talked face to face and told her that will update by end of day as to how to navigate the littlelives.
I took the opportunity to write down the steps for her and also another parent so that they can navigate easily in the future.

This week, I started addressing the parents thru their names by calling them Mr. and Mrs._____whenever they fetch their children and whenever I call them on the phone. I realised that by doing this, they are showing more interest in the message that I am trying to convey. After our conversation, they also showed politeness by addressing me as Teacher Angela.

There was a concern by both parent and educarers that a child refused to drink milk past few days. I listened and also adress the parents concern. We have decided to work together to figure out why the child suddenly has difficulties drinking milk. So over the weekends, parents will observe too and will update me. The child's mum and i will share strategies to help the child in this matter.

Communication with parent: I talked to a parent in regards to her child behavior in school (he will cry for the entire time in school and stopped crying only when he is going home) Hence, my method was to encourage him to use his words as his language development was well developed. I shared my method with his mummy and she was elated that her child is finally able to settle down in school and told me that she will also try to encourage his son to use his words to describe his needs instead of crying.

Communication with my partner: Whenever parents update me something about their children, I will inform my partner right away. And keep her updated.

As a primary educarer i will update any new child under my care. Other then verbally reporting to the parent about their child first two weeks in the infant care i will also update via little live....i will also share with the parent on their child pattern of sleeping and feeding at home. by collaborating with parent,it will make their child more comfortable in the infant class.
