After the surgery, Jerry was paralyzed from the neck down and his mother had banned Jennifer from the hospital. They reunited a couple months later and she decides to start caring for him. The relationship was toxic and abusive and so she left. We learn how forgetful and in-denial Chris is, how Jerry supported and was loyal to Chris throughout his life, how Jerry volunteered to let Duntsch do surgery on his neck only to lead to tragedy, and how Duntsch continued to deny and neglect what he did to Jerry. The author most likely included this interview to show the audience how Dr. Duntsch's behavior adds up and how he could even hurt his own lifelong friend, creating a perfect transition to the 3rd episode where Chris proclaims the possibility of becoming a "Cold-Blooded Killer."

The podcaster interviewed Tyler Schultz about how it was to work with Sunny. He explained Sunny's harshness and how he was unqualified for his position. Tyler talked about how Sunny would ask for difficult tasks to be done in a short amount of time despite his lack of knowledge in the field. I believe the interviewer included this to show us who Elizabeth chose to lead her company and who she surrounded herself with. The people around you says a lot about who you are. In this interview we actually get the chance to hear Chris' voice. In the interview Lighty and Adler converse about his first time meeting Russell Simmons, and how different the atmosphere of the club where they met was compared to what he'd experienced as a young adult. Lighty explained that in all the clubs he'd been to previously never had White people in them. I believe this particular interview was included because it demonstrated the current changes in Lighy's career, he was no long surrounded by one demographic of people. Despite the fact that collaborating with Simmons would completely change his life as he'd known it, Lighty made it clear that he simply didn't vibe with it and left the club. As the narrator interviewed Jerry Summers starts off the interview explaining how they were friends. They used to be just good friends who talked to each other, went every with each other. Jerry Summers explains how when ever he saw Christopher Duntsch or "Dr.Death" he always seemed to be so determined. Jerry Summers then continued to not only support his friend but even go as far as allow him to operate on his neck. He trusted him so much he put  his life into his hands, yet when he woke up from the surgery performed he was paralyzed from the neck down.
Yet, despite the fact that Duntsch paralyzed him, Duntsch denied all claims. Not only injuring his friend but also claiming to have no relevance to the subject. They interviewed Rishel Gibbins about what was going on with Ian. She said that Ian was feeling guilty because he thought they were committing fraud, putting people's lives at risk. Ian decided to talk to Channing who told Elizabeth, but then Ian was immediately fired , but he was almost immediately re-hired, but would've been demoted and he took it hard. What she had him do was evaluating people that came into the company, and he hated it.  There was another thing bothering Ian. Theranos was the plaintiff in a lawsuit. He was incredibly anxious about being up in front of a court. He was making a hard decision to either protect the company or reveal their flaws. He didn't want to testify, he was afraid that they would fire him for not going along with the companies story. The reason they included him is because he's the one who coached the members on the team at that time. The interview lasts through out the whole episode and they talk about his personal experiences about those days. They also talk about that situation that he was in, coaching a new team who has never been to the World Cup let alone play together. He even had to create the team himself they had to start from scratch.

Jennifer was Jerry's significant other, so she was often by his side. She was there when Chris and Jerry began their clinic, and she was there when Jerry underwent his surgery for the first time. In the interview, she explained that she was a bit hesitant in letting Jerry follow through with the operation, but expressed that she trusted his judgement enough to make a decision. This was a really interesting point for me because it made me think that there was someone who didn't have full faith in Christopher's career, even before the surgery with Jerry. After he had become paralyzed from neck to toe, Jennifer took care of Jerry for quite a while. But, they soon split and cut ties with one another after Jerry had finally snapped. It's around this point that Jennifer loses her identity in their story, and no longer has any connections to the two. This being said, I think that even though Jennifer didn't have much to say about Chris' later career, she still presented a lot of early factors that played into his narrative. While other people saw this as a good thing, Cooper felt that something was off. Chris thought he was the best, and when he wasn't, he did anything to be the best. Of course, while Cooper knew him, he never said anything about it. But when Cooper learned what Chris had become, it all made sense. But he came to learn that they were not true, along with other things about the company. He says he wasn't allowed to look around ,especially at the lab, and he wasn't allowed to do basic tests of the machine. Ultimately he decided to stop working with Walgreens after the deal went through with Theranos, he felt guilty because he knew it was a scam and endangering people. His wife questioned his decision as Theranos and Elizabeth gained popularity, but he was certain the truth would come out.
