Honestly, when I began working at Salk 6 yrs ago I was astounded at how proactive the PA was, and how much you all care about Salk - after all, in the scheme of things, we're "just" middle school. However, you help create and maintain the culture of pride and caring that makes alums return, teachers feel supported and confident in their jobs, and parents desperately want their kids to go to Salk. It was a true pleasure to hike those steps at 8 AM once a month to go sit in a classroom, figure out what needed to get done and do it under your direction, all while enjoying a chat and many laughs.
