It is really special for me because I feel it helps connect me to my roots in the African countries I come from. I hope to make this into a family heirloom and have future generations play it and take care of it. Also there's something kinda spiritual going on when I play it. I can hear people singing in the background when I play with my group even when no one is singing. The singing seems to be in an African language but I can't quite put a name on it.
