Since the contract they signed they can only dig for gold. Captain Smith thinks they should build a place because you can't find gold in one day its a long process But, when he hears screams he thinks that the place is not safe and that more people may die because of the Native Americans bows. The Natives may be scared of muskets but the Natives have better weapons than the crew.
