The Author's pattern is that he writes a predictable ending. When looking at the endings of both books(Fablehaven and Beyonders) they have a very straightforward endings that are easy to predict. For example, in the book Fablehaven the ending is the main character defeating the demon which is mostly all fantasy's endings. I knew that the main character will defeat the demon when their grandmother tells them about the story of the demon. Also in the book Beyonders, the ending is similar to Fablehaven. The ending is when Jason goes back to his world which I predicted from the start of the book. I think that the author loves to write a predictable ending because there are more evidence in the book that supports that the author wrote a predictable ending.

The Author Brandon Mull writes a very slow pacing book. The books Fablehaven and Beyonders are a very slow pacing books because they have a lot of description in it as well as dialogues. This author loves describing every single part of the books. For example in the book Fablehaven, instead of saying that Kendra and seth was eating steak for their dinner, he decided to describe how good it tasted and how juicy the steak is. Also, almost every page of the book at least has 4 or 5 sentences of dialogue. In the book beyonders, the main charater Jason has a lot of inner thinking and also a lot of dialogue, mostly because of the amount the conversation he has with other people. I think that the books that he writes are always very descriptive.

The author used descriptions to build suspense
In the book Fablehaven, when the author said" She tried to think of nothing, tried to focus on calm, regular breathing." This was when the magical creatures were trying to invade the house. This description made suspense by making readers very anxious to Kendra and Seth that were in the house.
In the book Beyonders, when songs came out from the hippo in the zoo and when he was about to get sucked by the hippo, this description from the book built suspense. I think that the suspense in the book is more descriptive than the other books.

The Author used actions to show the resolution.
In the book Fablehaven, when the fair78oy king sent fairies to Kendra to help her4, this is when I noticed that this book is going to end as Kendra and Fairies defeating the demon and saving his family. These actions helped me predict the resolution of the book. Also in the book Beyonders, when he was about to go into the portal, this action showed that he was about to return to his world. I think that the actions were revealing to show the resolution.
