I think I reached my biggest success in using technologies in the classroom during the pandemic. We had to face such difficulties that teaching online involved, but different ICT tools helped me overcoming that: I recorded lessons by Screencastomatic, I arranged test by Liveworksheets (it was also very easy to correct them) or Google forms. Not to mention tools my students used to collaborate with foreign students in the eTwinning projects we were partners of. Over the past twelve months, we have finally taken a decisive step forward in our school development focus by equipping all pupils with a tablet and providing a digital and interactive whiteboard and stable Wi-Fi in almost every class.

We have been using the "quop" learning progress diagnostics for the areas of "reading" and "maths" for six months. All pupils complete small tests on their tablets every three weeks, which provide us with information about individual performance levels and help us to derive the next learning steps and support measures. Our experiences so far have been very encouraging, we can give very individualised feedback to pupils and parents and have also come a great deal closer to our decision to do without grades in the first three years of school.

I keep discovering new digital tools, trying them out and integrating the best practices into my lessons. I like to create games that help students reinforce lesson material. I really felt a deep satisfaction when my primary school students, during the pandemic, were able to produce their own work in a digital form (i.e. a word file, a presentation) and upload to it in Teams. Using google slides in google drive is probably the simplest, friendliest and most effective way to develop collaborative work in my classes. Everyone can work together at the same time, access google tools easily and kids learn it also in ICT classes and with majority of teachers. The first time I've used it was a great success, students were really engaged. I'm a fan of Canva and Genially - we can achieve great products with these digital tools. I also use Padlet, but on eTwinning projects, in the last years we have a partner from Germany and Padlet is not recommended, so we are using Digipad. However I think Padlet has a lot of great features and a lot of potentialities. Por polls, wordclouds, and assessment I also use Mentimeter and recently I've started using Slido and Wooclap.

One of the most interesting and engaging works for my students and for me was the creation of a virtual tour of an art gallery that retraced the most important and interesting moments in the life of a famous Italian magistrate, famous for being the protagonist of the Mani Pulite investigation in Italy. In one of our eTwinning projects, we created a virtual escape room, in which students had to go through seven doors (the seven countries involved) and answer questions about the partners countries, as well as solve various problems. At the end of the game, the students arrived on a beautiful island and had to find the treasure and, therefore, win a 'Remarkable Traveller's certificate. They really loved playing the game.

Teachers can use Genially to create visually appealing, engaging, interactive content for classroom lessons. Use the quiz template for a quick warm-up or closing activity. European Quality Labels. All the activites were based on digital technoloy in some way.

As a result of our project, the cooperation and communication skills in a foreign language of our pupils improved as they learned how to use new Web 2.0 tools and their ICT skills boosted.

I am a preschool and a grade 1 and 2 teacher. I use tablets, smartboards, and audiobooks. My biggest success using digital technologies in the classroom is when I engage the students in some interactive activity using the smartboard. Activities are often geared at stimulating their cognitive skills among others. Thus they need to think and find answers to connect to the questions. They are often excited about using the smartboard or tablets to do the task. Some tremble with their fingers on the screen but they eventually get used to it as their fingers grow firmer. The project was European and incorporated contributions from different international teams from Turkey, Tunisia, Portugal, Greece and Italy, as mixed teams in a virtual camp with the aim of saving the Earth from Climate Change! My students through their participation in this project had the opportunity to learn about the causes and effects of climate change through targeted actions and cooperation, to familiarize themselves with the terminology of climate change in English, to watch related videos, to perform experiments, reflect, draw, play quizzes, communicate and have fun with their classmates from other countries. Recently, I have been using splashlearn.com often to supplement math lessons for 1. graders.

I have some students who can add and subtract up to 10 without help, and I have others who don't even recognize numbers 1-5.

I do not have many problems with technical issues (such as - digital devices don't work or internet connectivity is bad - as I am an ICT teacher and I can manage those kind of problems). My biggest failure is when I find some great tool that is free and one year it's great success in my classroom - my students and I use it with great enthusiasm and great success - but then in a few months or next year we can see that it doesn't work as it used to work and some features are locked or not free any more:(

I think that it is a big problem of todays' digital environment - especially for educational sector - as our schools are non-profit organizations and we don't have options to pay for some great tools that are useful and encourage our students to learn better and more successfully.

Just to give you one example - few years ago - AR application Quiver had several free pages for educational purposes - and we had opportunity to see Platonic solids in 3D space - that was great for our students (in eTwinning project we had students from 4 years old, and also high school students from 16-17 years old - all of them enjoyed activities with Quiver equally). Next year we had opportunity to enjoy only in DOT Day activity (sphere only) and it was such a disappointment for all our students.

I teach English and French as foreign languages and possibly the biggest problem using digital tools is of technical issues - e.g. unstable internet access or the devices not supporting the tools. Moreover, I found out that many of my VET learners have very limited digital competences although they always try to convince me they know how to work with digitals - just with playing games on their mobile phones. ;)

In one of my earlier attempts to integrate digital technology into the classroom, I decided to use a new interactive whiteboard tool for a group project. The idea was to have students collaborate on a shared digital board to brainstorm ideas and organize their research. Unfortunately, I didn't fully anticipate the technical issues that would arise. The tool was slow to load, and several students had trouble accessing the board due to compatibility issues with their devices.

We were supposed to practice writing and communication in English. Instead, we had an unplanned lesson on “How Not to Break a Shared Document.”

Lesson learned:

Even digital natives need explicit guidance on how to collaborate online, especially in another language. Now, I always include a mini-lesson on digital etiquette and tool use before the actual project begins. It saves time, stress… and possibly a few pets.

One of my greatest achievements in using digital technologies in the classroom was receiving the National Quality Label for the eTwinning project L.O.V.E – Listening Other Voices around Europe.

This project allowed students to collaborate internationally on cultural and citizenship topics, while making extensive use of digital tools that promoted interaction, co-creation, and student autonomy.

I designed an interactive escape room where students had to solve physics-related puzzles — such as circuits, motion problems, and energy conversions — to unlock digital “doors” and advance through different stages. I built it using Google Forms, Genially, and interactive simulations from PhET to make the experience immersive and challenging.

As an English teacher, I use interactive digital tools to help students work together on authentic tasks, such as researching current topics, creating presentations, and participating in online quizzes. I've found that technology encourages even quieter students to participate more actively and helps them develop both their language skills and digital competence.
