         <description><![CDATA[<p>Assessment Objectives (AOs) are measurable, overarching goals that need to demonstrated by students in the assigned tasks. In Upper Secondary Cambridge programmes, teachers are required to use the Assessment Objectives to devise learning objectives (LOs). The LOs are the specific steps taken in order to develop, practise and consolidate the use of the English Language.</p><p><br></p><p>Implications for SD II: Students will be expected to show how an AO has been broken down into achievable LOs, when planning lessons. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>•Read the implementation of an upper secondary lesson to develop argumentative writing.</p><p><br/></p><p>•<strong>The class profile</strong>: This is urban secondary (girls-only) school. In this class of 15 students, ten students have been observed to play a passive role. While they do respond in English whenever prompted, students do seem disengaged from the lesson. The other five students are very responsive at first, initiating answers but their motivation dies down by the end of the lesson.</p>]]></description>
