Interestingly, the students that self-select into the IB programme tend to represent a wider degree of diversity than the general population. I want to make sure my students of color and my white students understand the concepts and importance of anti-racism. White supremacy harms everyone, particularly people of color, and as a school that racially integrated in recent years (meaning, white kids started coming to the school), we've been really confronted with the impact of bias and radicalized harm. We have staff, family and student equity teams, and have done some really powerful internal, interpersonal, and institutional work. And we still have a long way to go. We want our all of our students, particularly our students of color, to feel seen, heard, valued and challenged.

That is not the same as racial diversity but it overlaps.
