Based on my stations information, I believe it was not ethical to drop bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. However, some may say it was necessary but I think the US should have held off considering talks of Japan surrendering soon were being made.

Based on the information given, I believe it was not ethical to drop bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, because it dehumanized many innocent civilians. However, I think the US had to bomb so that Japan could surrender and end the war, but the bombing did kill more than 100,000 civilians and many homes were destroyed.

I personally think that dropping the Atomic Bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki was not ethical. The U.S knew that the Japanese were working on peace negotiations, i feel like they could have done things a lot differently to where they did not kill a mass number of Civilians.

In reference to the documents I was assigned, dropping the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki was ethical. This is because the Germans had already started the research on building the atomic bombs and were intending to use it against us. We had only found out about this when Albert Einstein warned president Franklin Roosevelt and convinced him to beat the Nazi's to it. When FDR was informed, it was immediately a race to who could develop the weapon first. However, before we could finish building the bombs, the Germans had surrendered. To end the war for good, we dropped the atomic bombs on Japan after they refused to back down.

The Article that I was assigned basically stated that both bombings were unethical, because although there may have been purpose for them, a lot of innocent people suffered, such as women and kids, and people that may have had nothing to do with the war at all had to suffer.

From what I read in this station, dropping the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki was ethical because they believed the use of the atomic bomb saved hundreds of thousands of lives both American and Japanese and that without its use the war would have continued. Personally, I think it was not ethical to drop bombs because it killed civilians and many people suffered.

According to station #2, dropping the bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki was ethical. This was because it saved hundreds or even millions of American and Japanese. According to this station, the war would've been more effective on the people. If the bombing didn't happen, the war would've continued for many months, causing it to have more deaths than the atomic bombs.
