My Name is Liz from central IL. Not the pretty southern part of Illinois that the glaciers didn't flatten or the active northern part, where you have tons to do, but the central corn and bean part of Illinois where my new neighbors shoot their guns and race four wheelers around their property. I myself shoot, but for me it is with a camera delighted by the occasional fox, coyote or deer that may cross my backyard, or used to anyway. I'm pretty sure the shooting will keep my animal friends away.

I guess like many others I've read, I'd love to be a wildlife photographer or run adventure photography trips. I hike, bike, kayak with my camera at my side. I'm including an abstract taken from my solo kayak trip last Friday. I am a retired school teacher who is finding life to be mostly exhilarating with so much to learn. I've enjoyed the Ted talk on flow and am hungry for each bit of information, I want to know more. How does one move into "flow"?

Within the last year, I have begun practicing transcendental meditation and teaching Tai Chi/Qigong. It is with these practices that I can most closely feel flow. I loved the whisper of curiosity in my ear idea and have found that when I listen, LOTS of information comes forth. What to do with it and where to go with it the latest questions. I'm very excited to have found this course for instance. Not something I was looking for but here I am just the same.
