I fell inlove with this friend of mine. We had some good memories together before he left for his mission. A month before he left I asked him what if I fell inlove with him? And he said "by the time I finished my mission, I'm sure you already have a boyfriend." I just smiled. But in my mind no I'm willing to wait for him but I never said that vocally because I'm too shy and I don't know what he feels about me, I don't want to be a distraction to him. I don't wanna ruin our friendship. Now he's serving a mission. He always include me in his emails with his families and friends I only respond twice telling him that he's doing really great in the mission field,those emails were sent last year. I planned to make a confession to him after 2 years,any advise? What should I do? should I keep waiting while making myself better or just start dating others?

I am preparing for almost a year now for my mission so I don't think about dating/courting as I want to focus solely on my mission, but as my mission gets closer there's this sister that caught my attention. I don't know if I'm just infatuated or if I really like her, but there's this urge to want to invite her out and date her. I know that there's nothing that I'll regret when I go on a mission as that is what God wants me to do as a priesthood holder, but should I just bottle up my feelings and wait till after my mission or can I pursue her now?
