A.	What is your myth about?

Basically, this myth is about that depending on the hemisphere that you are on, the water on the toilet will flush the other way around of what we, on the north hemisphere, see. This means that it will flush clockwise, instead of counterclockwise, in the southern equator.

B.	Which arguments disprove your myth?

Toilets have their own angled jets, and they flush the water of the toilet on the direction of these jets to the drain, which is not affected by the hemisphere you are on. Something that is mentioned on the articles is the “Coriolis effect” which is explained as “an apparent deflection of the path of an object that moves within a rotating coordinate system. The object does not actually deviate from its path, but it appears to do so because of the motion of the coordinate system.” (Rafferty, J., NA). This effect, even if it applies, does not in this case because the volume of the water in a toilet is too small to be affected by this phenomenon.

D.	Do you think is reliable? Why?

I think it is reliable because you have the citing information, you know who wrote the article and are granted the curriculum and relevant information about the author, which gives you the opportunity to see what knowledge they, as the author, have, to be able to research the topic and post about their results. Also, I took my time and did my own research about the page that, in this case is Britannica, does have credibility, and found very good opinions, from other scholarly sources, saying that Britannica is a very good place to start your research and so on.
