The thing I admire most about the children is their knowledge of their survival skills. They learn how to differentiate between poisonous plants and edible plants, how to climbs trees and look for signs of danger. They also learn to tell the difference between smells and more. I admire their resilience for that they could remember their survival classes and tried to survive with the food and drinks provided in the rainforest. The elders of the children, Lesley, who was 13, and Soleiny, who was 9, helped with most of the survival. They built makeshift shelters using branches with hair ties. Lesly even took care of the baby! If I was stuck in the rainforest, I would have just cried for days until the rescue team rescued me.

Hence, I admired the children's resilience to bounce back from the struggles and cope with them. They could not only recover farina and survive on it until supply ran out, but also, through luck, it was the fruiting season and they could also survive on other fruits that are edible.

It is still unbelievable that these children have spent 5 weeks in the Amazon rainforest after their plane crashes alone! It is very dangerous in the Amazon rainforest as there are many dangerous predetors such as the “Jaguar". I am inspired by the children because they have learnt how to differentiate poisonous plants and edible plants and how to climbs trees and look for signs of danger. They also learn to tell the difference between smells and more.Who knew who could survive in a forest for 5 weeks?! I know I didn't. They salvaged what they could from the plane and managed to get supplies for their shelter. It takes a lot of resilience and courage to be able to do what Lesley did. If I was them, I would freak out and cry for ages. The most amazing part was that they didn’t know if they were going to be rescued but they still never gave up hope.

When I first read the article about how those 4 children were able to survive by themselves in the Amazon rainforest , I was absolutely shocked. The Amazon rainforest is one of the most dangerous places on earth as it is teeming with animals that could end you.Upon reading the article, it stated the ages of the children and I was flabbergasted. They we’re less than 18 and yet they managed to survive in the jungle for 5 weeks!
In the article ,it also states that how they were able to differentiate the difference between poisonous fruit and edible fruits.t this here shows that how even the people who do not even have access to the city life , they can also be very advanced and more trained than us.The four kids are living proof that sometimes you do not always s need to be rich and famous to be able to survive. However,if it were me in the jungle,I would have been bawling my eyes out at first. Then I would seek shelter and try and survive.Maybe we might even learn a thing or two from these kids.

When I first read this article, I thought I had read the title wrongly, so I read it over and over again I am still in shock and relief about how they were able to survive. The children were lucky they had a sister like Lesly. She took initiative immediately. They were also lucky that they were able to recover farina a type of cassava flour and they ate it till they were out of rations. She and her brother Soleiny were able to find and survive off of avichure some fruits which is similar to passion fruit and whose seeds can be chewed like chewing gum. They also ate the fruit of milpesos which tastes like avocado and is rich in oil.

Failing to meet personal expectations can evoke a range of emotions, from disappointment and frustration to self-doubt and even sadness. Coping with these emotions effectively is crucial for maintaining mental well-being and building resilience.

One key aspect of coping is practicing self-compassion. Instead of being overly critical or judgmental of oneself, it's important to treat oneself with kindness and understanding. Acknowledge that failure is a natural part of the human experience and that everyone faces setbacks at times. Cultivating self-compassion involves offering yourself the same care and empathy that you would offer to a friend in a similar situation.

Another valuable coping strategy involves reframing failure as an opportunity for growth and learning. Adopting a growth mindset allows you to view challenges and setbacks as stepping stones toward improvement. Focus on the lessons you can extract from the experience, and use them to fuel your determination and resilience moving forward.

Engaging in healthy outlets for emotional expression is also beneficial. Sharing your feelings with a trusted friend, family member, or therapist can provide a sense of relief and perspective. Additionally, creative activities, physical exercise, or mindfulness practices can help channel and manage emotions in a constructive way.

Setting realistic goals and expectations can prevent excessive stress and disappointment. While it's important to aim high, ensuring that your goals are achievable and aligned with your abilities and resources can reduce the likelihood of feeling overwhelmed by failure.

Ultimately, seeking professional support, such as therapy, can provide valuable guidance and tools for coping with the emotional aftermath of failure. A mental health professional can help you develop personalized coping strategies, build resilience, and navigate the complex emotions associated with unmet expectations.

It is truly mesmerizing how the kids were also able to survive in the rainforest despite all of the dangerous animals lurking in it. They were able to survive in the rainforest because of the survival skills they were taught which proves to show that even without access to proper education, they were still able to do something not all of us can do.

A few things that these children have that probably managed to get them throughout the whole 5 weeks, were resilience, independence and also resourcefulness, all which i respect. These are the aspects of great leaders that many admire. They were resilient, not letting the difficult situation get in their way of surviving. The fact that they could manage to survive 5 weeks in the amazon forest, makes me admire them, especially since they’re only children. The animals that pose a threat to them, the lack of food that they had to find a way to overcome, especially since that they need to do this all by themselves. I can’t even do my homework myself without my parents having to remind me to do things myself! The fact that they manage to remain resilient throughout their suffering makes me admire them. When I do not meet my expectations, I would just accept that and improve, but here, these children are in a life or death situation, and they have no room to fail, I think they knew that. That is why they are actually amazing and why I admire them.

When I read this article, my first reaction was ''No way!'' I thought that I was reading fake news. The chances of four children so young surviving in the world's largest rainforest are so slim, I just could not believe it. However, after reading the article, things started to make sense. I definitely admire the children's resilience. Having to watch their Mother die right in front of their eyes is something simply unbelievable. The main reason that they survived is because they were taught about what to do in situations like this. They knew which fruits could be eaten and which could not. They knew how to make shelters using what was available. If they were not prepared, they would not have survived. They teach us that we should always be prepared, even for the unthinkable, because we never know when we will need that knowledge.

The oldest child had to take care of three others, including a baby. Lesley also needed to know a lot about plants to know if it was poisonous. It could be the difference between life and death.
I cannot believe how they salvaged from the plane and built a shelter from broken parts. If I were them , I would cry until someone rescued me.
If I fail to my personal expectations,I would not be discouraged. I would not give up and learn from my past mistakes and experiences. Even if I do feel sad, I will calm down and try over and over until I succeed.

I really admire the fact that these kids were able to survive in the jungle alone without any parents for 5 WEEKS. Not only were they able to make shelters from hair ties and the things around them , but they were also really knowledgeable about the dangers of the rainforest, and that was how , in my opinion ,they were able to survive and keep away from the dangerous things the jungle has. From staying away deadly predators to being able to tell the difference between poisonous and edible plant , these kids really knew the jungle well. They showed us values like resourcefulness and perseverance. They persevered on even when no one could help them. Not giving up, and continuing to try to survive. Not only that but they were also bravery. Just try to imagine being in one of the worlds most dangerous places, The amazon rainforest and then having to survive after you are left alone when your parents passed. What the went through was truly unimaginable, a life and death situation and yet they still managed to survive. I think that what these kids did and went through was not only admirable but also unimaginable and well quite frankly AMAZING! I really look up to them and one day I hope I can be as brave and as knowledgeable of the rainforest as well.
