It is good to have life insurance even if you are single due to the fact that it can cover your debts if you die. When you are young, locking into an insurance plan will help you. This can also pay for your funeral in the case that you die a horrible death thus stopping your parents or loved ones from having to pay. My life is worth about $7,100 which is the average cost of a funeral. Health insurance is a good idea if you are single and since you are the only one bringing home money then disability is not a bad idea either

Everyone should have disability insurance in the case of an accident because it secures your paycheck even if you cannot work. If you have debts and get injured you need disability insurance to cover it.
1. What if you are working and break your leg, how will your family make money.
2. How dangerous is your job.
3. How long could you survive without a paycheck.
4. What if the injury is persistent and needs physical therapy.
5. What modifications or medical bills would there be in the event of an injury.

1. Workers Compensation
All states require employers to have some sort of workers comp in the case of an injury.
2. State Disability Insurance
Some states provide short term care to people that are injured for about six months.
3. Social Security
You can apply for coverage but due to how many people are on it, about $1,130 will be given to you.
4. Employer Sponsored
Many companies provide you the opportunity to have coverage either through giving it to you or opting to pay for it.
5. Individual Disability Insurance
You purchase it for yourself and it is much more flexible than other programs saying that you can take it with you.

It is a good idea to add it to your plan due to the fact that if you become too disabled to work then you can be taken care of instead of having to pay for it on your own.
Skilled Care, Generally this is for people who have received a major injury and need professional care.

Intermediate Care, for people who do not need care every day, this would be the option for them.

Custodial Care, meant to assist you in basic daily things such as cooking and bathing, can range from three days a week to 24 hour care.

1. Pay for funeral costs, this is so your family does not get left with the bills.
2. Help pay the bills and meet ongoing living expenses, is your family going to be able to continue living comfortably.
3. Pay off outstanding debt, including credit cards and the mortgage, this stops debts that are your own from affecting family members in your absence.
4. Continue a family business, possibly without you the business might be purchased, with the money from life insurance it will help stop that.
5. Finance future needs like your children’s education, help cover college expenses that would normally be impossible to pay without you.
6. Protect a spouse’s retirement plans, you don't want your wife having to work until she dies, so this is a good idea.
7. How much money will it cost your family to continue living, you want your family to stay comfortable and not have to give up anything in your absence.
8.Take care of dependents, if you help pay for care for disabled members of your family, you do not want them to be unable to afford the care.

Scenario

Scenario 1: Life insurance and disability insurance. This is because of the fact that in the case of an accident it is extremely smart to be covered so that if I survive, I can recover with peace of mind or if i die no one inherits my debt.
Scenario 2: I would want all three. Long term so that I can have assisted care in old age, Life insurance so that in the case of my death my family can live comfortably, and disability since because I'm old an injury could lay me out for a while.
Scenario 3: Long term care would be the only one I would want because of the fact that I will need to save money and my family can take care of themselves now that they are adults. I need help and that would insure that I would get it for a reasonable amount. Depending on how much money I had maybe I would get Life insurance.
