Coppertone is the scent of summer to me and I liberally apply my own to my pinkening skin as the sun is as warm as the best summer day and kisses my skin with its delicious warmth. My family is all around, some riding the waves, others blue and pink stained faces show the joy of a recently completed shave ice.

Having the hot sand touch me feet and the cool water as I put my feet in. Hearing the laughter and giggling of the kids running on the sand. We get sandwiches everytime and enjoy it on the beach, the fresh smell of the lettuce and the sweet and spicy sauces. Wearing nothing but colorful beach shorts,  I stop and shout out for freedom as I look at the crashing waves.  I drop my sunscreen and Gatorade while I look back at my family and friends who are all catching up. I make eye contact,  then shout out LET'S GOOOOOOOOO.  My family and friends cheer me on as I jump straight into the big blue. To hear the violent splashing of the waves onto the rocks and have the water reminiscent where it had splashed onto before the waves slowly descended back to the ocean. To smell the ocean and wet sand in the air and giving the scent of salt and to see the sun descending down making a beautiful sunset and giving me a nostalgic feeling from when I was younger, smaller and free from worries.
