This was unfair because no one could actually prove if someone was communist or not.

An example of this was Sacco and Vanzetti, two Italian immigrants living in a mostly Italian communit, were accused of of murdering two men during an armed robbery. In August of 1927 both were executed in Boston.

Harding carleigh_thomas https://padlet.com/vanessa_galeanox/padlet_politics/wish/78204542 In the aftermath of WWI and the Progressive Era, Harding advocated a "return to normalcy" which mean the wanted things to return to the way they were before WWI. Harding contucted front-porch campaigns in which thousands would travel to hear him speak. Due to the amout of visitors, Harding's front lawnwas replaced with Gravel. Harding was elected as President on November 2, 1920. He was a Republlican. He recieved 60% of the popular vote. There was a scandal during his presidency that his Secretary of Interior took bribes for renting government land to oil company. He later died of a heart attack on August 2nd.

Prohibition was used to lower crime rates and social problems. If caught with alcohol, you would be put into prision. Many people did not like prohibition; they were completely against it.
