         <description><![CDATA[<p>What to do with the new texts we've been given?</p><p>Implementation of newly integrated texts?</p><p>Can we have an up dated list of approved district curriculum?</p><p>Opt out policy: expectations for students and teachers </p><p>Honoring decades of curriculum design by veteran teachers while investing time and resources on building and implementing new units.</p><p>As we roll this out we need to treat this as an opt-in model. The new units should be scaffolded for new teachers and an opportunity for the rest.</p><p>Censorship in the district? In individual buildings?</p><p>Curriculum share time! Many of us at different sites are teaching the same texts -it would be awesome to be able to talk and swap materials.</p><p>What is the right balance of non-literary, free choice and prescribed IB reading?</p><p>Copies of texts: Who is deciding what we read and what we don't read</p><p>Updates on the curriculum design process: the what, why and how of each grade level</p><p>Cancel culture with ELA novels should be checked</p><p>How much audio should we be using?</p><p>Lots of us want No Red Ink</p><p>How is choice showing up in the design? Book Clubs?</p><p>How do we get reluctant readers' feedback on texts under review?</p><p>How are we designing and scaffolding with EL and SPED students specifically in mind?</p><p>We need to align books and respect turf?</p><p>Aligned skills and themes help transient kids</p><p>Is there place for ELA teachers who don't have capacity to be a design lead to help review and refine?</p>]]></description>
