Grendel to me is human with animal characteristics. I say This because he shows the killing capabilities of one but can CONTROL it. This animalistic side dosent take over him. He choses his prey, he decides who to leave, and he knows when to retreat. Over the years hes hidden in the shadows and looks grizzly much like an animal, and he knows when to attack. Even if he dosent kill anyone he does his part of striking fear into the people, the king himself weeps infront of him. That to me is Grendal, a man that likes to show his wild side.

In Musical terms, when i think of Grendal, I immediately think of "Predator" From the Alien vs Predator Series. I relate the two because both of these "Monsters" are hunting for sport, fun. They both watch from a distance and wait for a time to attack their target. Of course one is more highly technological they both share the same characteristics. When i think of Grendal looking into the mead hall and seeing all the towns people drunken and defenseless, its the same feeling as Predator looking below to the unsuspecting humans below, Sitting ducks.

In musical terms, Grendel reminds me of "Predator" from the Alien vs Predator series. I relate the two because both of these "Monsters" hunt for sport. They both lie in the shadows stalking their prey and wait for the perfect moment to attack. Sure one of the two is specialized is futuristic space weapons, but they both hunt with the same style. Looking back to when Grendal is looking into the mead hall, and seeing all the drunken towns people, he knew it was a time to invade. Just as Predator would look from the tree tops down at helpless humans.
