The first thing I noticed during the first video was how bare the classroom was. There was no personality, and it came off across very cold. The second video of the classroom help show off the teacher's personality. The room layout was in small groups and let the teacher freely walk around the students and have the focal point of the teacher in the middle of the room while presenting the information. The first video had the desk in straight rows which in a way showed issues because there was a conflict with the students and the teacher with seating arrangements from the start of class.

Even though the first teacher attempted to connect she came off rude and almost blunt like towards the students which transpired to me as being cold and uncaring. The second video teacher was upbeat and spoke in a pleasant tone towards her students. She also recognized when she did get the class off task and was able to get them back on.

During the first video while the teacher was teaching and asking for students to input you could see lack of attention. Almost a sense of them being defiant. During the second video the teacher was able to teach the lesson with the students being actively involved in the lesson.

One way I want to foster my relationship with my students is to make sure that not only is my room inviting but comfortable for all my students to learn. I think something more then I want to explore in my classroom setting is flexible seating. I feel like when children are at ease and comfortable they are more likely to ask questions and ask for help.

Another way I would like to foster my student to teacher interaction is making sure my lesson plans are able to connect to different types of learners. In this class and after watching the videos I see that during the first video that teacher was all verbal. She just taught her lesson just to present the knowledge. I felt like during the second video the teacher tried different ways to present the information. I have noticed very quickly in my own class that technology does play a huge part in learning. This is something I want to feel more confident in. is just the overall use of technology and how I can better present my lesson with using it.

I think by coming back to something I had previously mentioned was room arrangement. I feel by having small groups of tables or desks this would help provide opportunities for group work with my students. This would also help provide opportunities to foster friendships. I think when I get my first classroom arriving early to see the space and taking pictures will help with a room arrangement.

Something that I could also do for my future classroom is letting the students understand my expectations for classroom etiquette and about their expectations about participating in class. I think by utilizing the whiteboard will help, and having these posted on the classroom wall.
