         <description><![CDATA[<div>Avery Hicks, Amber Johnson, Morgan Conklin<br><br>~Treatment- Enslaved Africans were allowed to gather to gather and socialize at each others houses but they were not freed from slavery and still was working with little pay.<br><br>~Jobs- Slaves were in charge of building houses and structures in the city.<br><br>~Cash Crops- The cash crop was but not limited to beans, squash, and corn<br><br>~Laws- a group of religious people took a law to court to free enslaved people in the New England colonies and see them as equals but was shut down by the government.<br><br>~In this set of colonies slavery was lighter in how they were treated and respected, they were payed for their service unlike most slave states but people were still being enslaved and even when some religious locals believed that slavery was wrong and was not needed.</div><div>

<strong>treatment-</strong>life was harsh and they were treated poorly, but they were able to avoid punishment if they were skilled.<br><strong>jobs-</strong>masonry, shipwrights, goldsmiths, and glaziers<br><strong>laws-</strong> the laws of the middle colonies had the same slave codes, just much less punishment for the same crimes. However, at the same time, it was not as relaxed as the New England colonies.<br><strong>cash crops cultivated:</strong> Grains such as wheat, oats, and rye.&nbsp;<br><br>
